2026 TASS (Infiltration)[]
Summary[]
Ravenbrook Village is gone. Not conquered. Not abandoned. Destroyed.
The ley line tremors from last year were only whispers—faint warnings of a storm building. Months later, without intervention, the Ravenbrook nexus point finally erupted. In one night of impossible magic, the entire village collapsed into itself. Streets folded like paper. Houses sank into the ground with a deafening roar. The sky split open, flashing purple with ley line lightning as reality itself buckled.
When dawn finally rose, Ravenbrook Village existed only as broken stone and drifting ash.
From the wreckage, two leaders emerged: Lady Elodie Ravenbrook and Amorette Dovetale. Once rivals in a political stalemate, they are now co-mayors in name only—locked in a bitter, escalating feud over who is to blame and who deserves to lead. Their people need unity. What they have is a war.
With their homes destroyed and using last year’s trade agreement, the displaced villagers have taken refuge on the castle grounds—bringing their politics, their tensions, and their fury directly into the heart of the academy.
But while they trade accusations… a far deadlier enemy moves unseen. Ravenbrook’s destruction wasn’t a natural disaster. It was the first step of an infiltration.
When the Academy opened a portal to the Void last year inside the abandoned castle, it did more than save two Houses—it exposed a secret meant to stay buried forever. The Void Walkers felt the portal’s echo and, for the first time in centuries, sensed the pulse of a Null Cell hidden beneath the castle grounds: a prison of pure anti-magic powered by the ley line nexus itself.
Long ago, the castle’s original master sealed away a volatile shard of the unassembled Doomsday Device inside that Null Cell. Though the shard had once been recovered, the prophecy’s reset returned it—restoring its presence and the accuracy of Void Walkers’ ancient knowledge.
Once aware of the Null Cell, the Void Walkers made their move.
They injected a doomsday fragment directly into the ley line nexus beneath Ravenbrook. Because leylines form a global web, Ravenbrook’s fall sent shockwaves rippling across the world—destabilizing portals, warping spells, and cracking reality at its seams.
And the Void Walkers have a single, terrifying objective: break open the Null Cell, reclaim the unstable shard, and finish what they began.
Once again, the Academy’s greatest hope is you. As Ravenbrook’s politics ignite around you, a greater task awaits: recovering the unstable shard and discovering how to contain what should never have awakened.
