This is a less explored faction for Trefoil Academy of Magery and Sorcery and therefore, not much information has been collected on yet it. What is known is that this group is against both the Seelie and Unseelie Courts, and seeks to see them abolished.
Rumors and Questions[]
- The two courts are also called the Summer Court and the Winter Court, and their powers wax and wane with the seasons. Is it the magic of the realm that is forcing the Seelie and Unseelie to fight their eternal war, just as the turn of the seasons continues in a continual tide back and forth from summer and winter?
- Is that eternal war what the Ankou might really be trying to fight? What would happen if it ended? Would seasons cease to exist? Would time itself come to an end?
- Would the Ankou ultimately be happy to just be left in peace, and is tired of being hunted or forced to choose sides? Or are they actively trying to undo the Seelie and Unseelie courts?
- The magic of the realm itself (Alfheim) is powering the Fae Courts, which are Summer and Winter. Those who leave the courts lose that magic boost. Will the Ankou be able to gain powers of a new Spring or Autumn from their realm, in order to make their own niche?
